Staff and Adminstration

The staff at Early Learning at Beth Sholom are a group of dedicated professionals who are committed to the safety and caring of children.  As experienced educators, the teachers create a nurturing environment where children can grow and learn.

Sheryl Andreoli (3s):   
Sheryl is passionate about three year olds!  She has been teaching for over 20 years and has been at Beth Sholom for the past 9 years.  Sheryl has one daughter of her own (who is the light of her life!) and loves all of the children she teaches.  Sheryl graduated with a BA.  She wakes up every morning and loves coming to work.   For Sheryl, it is an honor to share in the lives of these wonderful children.

Kay Marie Cawley (2s): 

Teaching for Kay is a way to help children explore the world. As a teacher in the 2 year old room,  Kay has been part of Beth Sholom for the past 9 years and teaching with Susan for 10.  She has four grown sons and three granddaughters.   Kay loves the two year olds and their energy

Fanny Chodesh (Infant/Toddler):  
Fanny  has been teaching in a nursery school setting for the last 15 years and working at Beth Sholom for 4. She loves working with the infants  and singing and creating with them. She has a bachelor degree from Penn State in fine arts and a few years at Moore School of Art. She loves and enjoy seeing these little people grew up.

 

 

 

Zehava Afenzar (Infant/Toddler): 
Zehava adores babies!  She has been teaching for the past ten years and has been with Beth Sholom for over 8.  She has an Early Childhood Certification and is a Certified Medical Assistant.  Zehava has three of her own children.   She loves to see babies grow- to see their physical and mental development and their individual abilities blossom. 

 

Ellen Kovnat (Finance):
Ellen has been helping Beth Sholom since her own son was in Montessori in preschool.

Lauren Andreoli
Eileen Weingram has been the Director of Early Learning at Beth Sholom since 2008. Prior to that Eileen worked in the Philadelphia and New Hope Solebury School Districts. She has a Bachelors and Masters in Education as well as a Principal's Certificate and Early Childhood Directors Credential. Eileen loves spending her day working with the precious young children, their families and a wonderful staff. 
Lisa Baker:
Lisa is a Montessori trained teacher who works with all ages of children at Beth Sholom.   She has been teaching for over 15 years and been here for the past 9.   She studied Early Childhood Education.   It is a new adventure every day, working with children!  She has three children of her own.
Shoshana Nadav (Montessori):  Montessori Education fosters independence and builds skills in young children.  For Shoshi Montessori is what she likes most about teaching at Beth Sholom.  She loves watching the smaller children learn from older ones and the interaction between all of the children.   Shoshi teaches Hebrew as well and children learn letters, songs and it is rewarding for Shoshi to see the children learn and new language.   She has three daughters of her own and four grandchildren.
Susan Kenig  (Support):
Susan's joy in teaching has been to help children to reach their full potential- socially, developmentally, and academically. She has been teaching for 26 years and has been at Beth Sholom for the past 2 years.  She holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and a Masters and Supervisory in Special Ed.

Joan Zinberg:  Joan has an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education.She have been working with children for 17 years including 2 years at Beth Sholom and enjoy getting to know all the children through interacting. She loves helping and watching preschool aged children grow and change throughout the year.
Rachel Summers
Vered Zach (Infant/ Toddler:  Vered is a hands- on teacher- perfect for working with toddlers.  She has been teaching for 10 years and has been at Beth Sholom for 9.  She has her CDA and three children of her own- a boy and twin girls.  Vered is a kid at heart and loves working in a Jewish environment.
