Staff and Adminstration

The staff at Early Learning at Beth Sholom are a group of dedicated professionals who are committed to the safety and caring of children.  As experienced educators, the teachers create a nurturing environment where children can grow and learn.

Julie T., Director of Early Learning: Julie has over 35 years of experience in education and over five years in the mental health field. She has been a teacher, a director, a STARS assessor and a Behavior Specialist for neurodivergent youth.  Julie holds an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor's in Human Service/management and a Master's in Early Childhood Education.  She loves spending time with her Sphynx cat and her adult son.

Carly T., Infant Room Teacher:

Kay Marie C. Toddlers:  Teaching for Kay is a way to help children explore the world.   Kay has been part of Beth Sholom for over 10 years. She loves spending time with her grandchildren.  Kay loves spending time with the kids and enjoys their energy. Kay is also a grandmother.

Nancy M, Two's Teacher:
Sheryl A., Three's Teacher::   
Sheryl is passionate about three-year-olds!  She has taught for over 20 years and has been at Beth Sholom for over 10 years.  Sheryl has one daughter of her own (who is the light of her life!) and loves all of the children she teaches.  Sheryl graduated with a BA.  She wakes up every morning and loves coming to work.   For Sheryl, it is an honor to share in the lives of these wonderful children.
Lisa B., Montessori: Lisa is a Montessori-trained teacher who works with all our Montessori program.   She has been teaching preschool since 1990 and has been here for over 10 years. She studied Early Childhood Education.   It is a new adventure every day, working with children!  She has three children of her own.

Allison R. Pre-K Teacher: Allison has over 15 years of experience teaching young children. She taught in public school in first and second grade for 11 years. The past few years, she has enjoyed teaching PreK. She loves watching children light up when they learn something new! She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Elementary Education as well as a Masters in Early Childhood education. She has two daughters, one who was a graduate and another one who presently attending.

Evette P., Assistant Teacher:

Jodi F., Assistant Director of Early Learning Jodi has over 30 years of experience teaching children and a Masters in Special Education. Her passion is working with preschool-age children, which is what she was been doing for the past 10 years. Jodi has worked at Beth Sholom as The Assistant Director since July 2022 and couldn't be happier. She is the proud mom of two children and a big labradoodle.

Illana D., Toddler Teacher:
Vered Z. Two's:  Vered has her CDA and has been teaching for over 10 years. She has been at Beth Sholom for over 9.  She has three children of her own- a boy and twin girls.  Vered is a kid at heart and loves working in a Jewish environment. 

 

 

 

Zehava A. Three's: 
Zehava has been teaching for over ten years and has been with Beth Sholom for over 8.  She has an Early Childhood Certification and is a Certified Medical Assistant.  Zehava has three children of her own.   

 

Shoshana N., Montessori:  Shoshi has been teaching since 1995.  Montessori is what she likes most about teaching at Beth Sholom.  She loves watching the smaller children learn from older ones and the interaction between all of the children.   Shoshi teaches Hebrew as well and children learn letters and songs. It is rewarding for Shoshi to see the children learn a new language.   She loves spending time with her children and her grandchildren.

Jennifer B, Floating Assistant: Jennifer loves being around babies and children. She believes that having a hand in nurturing their little personalities and individual interests is its own reward. She has a B.A., a J.D., is an active member of the Florida Bar, and speaks Hebrew. She’s also an adoring mother to her 4 year old son.
